Swiftcurrent Lookout

Hike from the Loop with Natalie. We saw grouse, a ptarmigan family, and a large grizzly. Chatted with Ernesta, the lookout. She let us checkout inside-soo cool!

Hike with Natalie. Saw lots of goats and flowers. Still quite a bit of snow the last ¼ mile.

Hike with Andrew and Nat. Scary encounter with grizzly-had to spray it. Pretty mellow rest of hike once we got around bear.

Hike with Andrew. We saw a ton of fairy slippers, 40+ trees down on trail, so many mosquitos, lots of pollen, and quite a few people on a hot day.

Hike with Nat. Hot day-started feeling quite ill about 5 miles in, decided to turn back since we didn’t have filter and nobody else was on trail.

Hike with Nat. Very windy. We saw a snake and tons of flowers. Quite muddy after rain.

Hike with Andrew and Nat. Sooo many flowers-including tiny bitterroot and nearly blooming jones columbine and alpine poppies. Saw a goat, many marmots, and a mama ptarmigan with chicks!
